Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp corn syrup
2 tbsp water
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 F.

In large bowl, crem together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by corn syrup, water and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in flour mixture into creamed mixture in thirds. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop 2 rounded tablespoons of dough 3 inches apart on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 12 to 14 minutes until golden. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks. Makes about 2 dozen large cookies.

I have made these cookies a couple times with a slight variation. I use honey instead of corn syrup and peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips. My husband who is a firefighter takes them to the station and they are gone in a flash. If you have a peanut butter fan in the family they will love these.

Soooo good!! Thanks for the recipe. Finally a biscuit that actually does stays soft in the middle, just the way I like it! Cheers :)

Amazing cookies!! I made two dozen and they were gone in 24 hours! I did slightly adjust the recipe and added more butter. Thank you so much for this recipe! They have become a quick favourite in my house!

I made these cookies, but I could barely taste the peanut butter. They were still delicious though!:D

I made these yesterday. They were soft when I took them out of the oven, but they are hard today. And, I could barely taste the peanut butter, which made my man happy, but I love peanut butter,so they weren't the greatest for me.
